Introduction

The Department of Statistics, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, is pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference on Statistical Sciences and Data Analytics (ICSSDA 2026).

Currently, the global economy is facing unprecedented disruptions driven by geopolitical tensions, energy market volatility, inflationary pressures, and financial uncertainties. These challenges have had profound implications for developing economies, including Nigeria.

This conference seeks to bring together statisticians, economists, data scientists, policymakers, financial experts and industry practitioners to explore how statistical sciences and data analytics can provide robust solutions for economic resilience, policy formulation, and sustainable development.


Objectives of the Conference

  • To examine the role of statistical methods in addressing economic instability.
  • To promote data-driven policymaking and financial system resilience.
  • To provide a platform for interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • To showcase innovative research in statistics, data analytics, and economic modeling.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts should be 200–250 words.
  • Full papers should not exceed 12 pages.
  • Submissions must be original and should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All papers will undergo (double-blind) peer review.
  • All accepted papers presented at the conference will appear in the Conference Proceedings, and some further enriched papers may be considered for publication in the maiden edition of our Journal of Statistical Sciences and Data Analytics.
